Virtual Fluff

Important note: ISSP is now a virtual meeting

Because of disruptions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic the ISSP will take place December 14th - 18th, 2020, as an online fully virtual meeting. Abstract submission remains open; please see Instructions for Authors. Note that previously accepted abstracts do not need to be resubmitted; however, authors are encouraged to upload revised versions of their abstracts based on reviewer feedback using the EasyChair portal. The deadline for new submissions and revisions to accepted abstracts is September 1st, 2020.

Welcome to ISSP 2020 Online

ISSP was launched in 1988 in Grenoble with the aim of providing an interdisciplinary forum for researchers working on all aspects of speech production, with subsequent iterations in Leeds (1990), Old Saybrook (1993), Autrans (1996), Kloster Seeon (2000), Sydney (2003), Ubatuba (2006), Strasbourg (2008), Montreal (2011), Cologne (2014), and Tianjin (2017). While unfortunately our original plans to hold the 2020 meeting in Providence are no longer feasible, we are excited to invite you to participate in the first fully virtual instance of the ISSP.

Please subscribe to the mailing list to be included in conference announcements.

Topics of interest for this meeting include but are not limited to coarticulation, prosody, speech neuroscience, disordered speech, speech in aging populations, speech development, phonetic convergence, articulatory synthesis, acoustic-to-articulatory inversion, speech motor control, biomechanical modeling, instrumental techniques, speech technology, co-speech gesturing, and perturbation-induced plasticity.

We look forward to welcoming you online for this latest iteration of the ISSP!
